Tidewater Chapter Newsletter

DECEMBER 27TH, 2006

Look forwrd to a Chapter Banquet to be held in the spring of 2007!!!!

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF YOU WHO VISIT OUR SITE REGULARLY FOR BEING UNDERSTANDING OF MY SITUATION. WHILE DEPLOYED OVER SEAS, SEVERAL DELTA MEMBERS WERE CONTEMPLATING AND BRAINSTORMING OVER IDEAS OF WHAT WE CAN DO THIS FALL TO JUSTIFY OUR ABSENCE AND ALL WE COULD THINK OF WAS INCLUDING YOU IN SOME HUNTS. FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US ABOUT HUNTS THAT WILL  BE TAKING PLACE ONCE THE "REGULAR" SEASON KICKS IN.... AND DON'T FORGET  TO INCLUDE WHICH STATE YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HUNTING. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR DILIGENCE AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU IN THE MARSH!!!

***Delta CONTINUES funding for Project on Virginia's Eastern Shore!!!***

Delta continues the study of  Black Ducks on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. This is  a very important project , did you know that this is furtherest south that a known species uses for a breeding ground??? Did you know that Delta is using your dollars to implement predator management and effectively increase Black Duck populations? YOUR DOLLARS ARE WORKING FOR YOU IN YOUR GEOGRAPHICAL AREA FOR YOUR DUCKS!!!!! THAT IS WHY  DELTA DESERVES YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT, NOW MORE THAN EVER!!!!

If you are interested in becoming a committee member and working with us to make this the best Chapter it can be, we would love your help! Just shoot us an email and we will be happy to inform you of how you can help. If you haven't seen all of the projects or the booth that we have, it takes a lot of manpower to make this possible. I would like to personally like to recognize our current committe for all of their time spent in the booths. Tyler and Craig were of great assistance, and of course my lovely wife Donna is owed a great thanks for letting me pursue my interest.

We appreciate maximum participation in our events and it's time for ALL DUCK HUNTERS to step up and take action in an organization whose goal is to put more waterfowl in the air. Delta is THE organization that is going to make this happen.  Keep an eye on the map at our national website and you'll see that Delta is adding local chapters just like this one continuously.  Hunters like you are tired of endless promises and repetitive declines in duck numbers! Become part of Delta Waterfowl and get involved in the movement that is going to make a difference!!!

Anyone who has any fundraising ideas or would like to volunteer as a committee member please email us and provide any info that you see relevant. We are always looking to better our organization !!!

We also have a new mailing address, please make note for future reference.  Even though this is a NC address....it is STILL the Tidewater Chapter, it is a matter of convenience for recieving mail. Thanks!
